So all day today I have had to deal with my graphics card not working. After about 15mins of playing a game my computer would freeze up and I would have to restart. So I cleaned the whole thing out, it is running cooler now, but I haven't checked to see if it was working by running a game. I hope nothing it wrong with it, I don't have money for a new one :(
What card is it?

ReplyDeleteUsually that's a sign that it needs to be cleaned out. If you've dusted it out real nice give it another shot before you decide to replace it.
ReplyDeletehave you tried new drivers? what OS are you running? i found that with my nVidia card, i couldnt run games on Vista or windows 7 with certain drivers, and most of these games i was trying with were made by Valve... try using an old driver, if that doesnt work maybe you want to try running XP...
ReplyDeleteI had a 9800, it lasted about a year before burning out completely.
ReplyDeleteI normally buy the fastest card I can get with passive cooling. They only come out with the passive versions when the tech has matured. Runs quieter (d'uh) and there's less to go wrong.
ReplyDeletehope that cleaning does the trick.
ReplyDeleteToo bad man. I hope it's not too damaged!
ReplyDeletefuckkkkkkkk
