Movie Time

Watched some good movies today. I have seen both of them before but I love them both, District 9 and Shawshank Redemption. I know a lot of people don't like District 9 because of the social commentary, but I find it to be a good watch none the less. I really like the special effects in the movie. I find the way the prawn to move and look very alien and sells the film well, at least to me. Shawshank is just one the better movies ever made and if you haven't seen it you should look into it. The story and the cast of characters are just so good.

    Best part about Shawshank-- it's based on a Steven King story.

    Shawshank is such an incredibly awesome wonderful movie. I haven't seen District 9 yet.

    One of the best lines from a movie comes from that movie, "I had to come to prison to learn how to be a crook"..Love this movie...

    Shawshank is an awesome movie. I always feel bad for the old guy that didn't know how to handle the outside and ended up hanging himself.

    I thought District 9 was alright. It didn't seem like something great to me. It was well made and performed, but the story just felt too predictable and usual to me.

    All of my friends and me loved District 9. It was such an original concept of an alien movie, like way more realistic than anything before.

    District 9 was kinda lame and boring to begin with, you kinda had to survive the first part to make it to the good part. Shawshank redemption is just good.

    while i did enjoy watching district 9, viewing in the second time made me feel less intrigued of it. then again, i did watch it again within a short time frame between having watched it for the first time.

    I enjoyed District 9, especially for the social commentary. Without it, it would have been far less satisfying.
